Już w następny weekend na Spa-Francorchamps podczas drugiej, 6-godzinnej eliminacji FIA World Endurance Championship zadebiutują najnowsze R18. Na starcie staną aż cztery fabryczne Audi, co ostatnio zdarzyło się w 1999 roku w Le Mans (R8R i R8C): po dwie w specyfikacji "ultra" i "e-tron quattro". Za kierownicą zasiądzie między innymi Marc Gene, który wcześniej jeździł Peugeotami. W roli faworytów Dindo Capello/Tom Kristensen/Allan McNish w R18 e-tron quattro.
